Exentrix was established in 1992 by William and Suzanna Van Berkel in Richmond Melbourne. The boutique soon established a reputation among the discerning Melbourne fashion clientele.. Exentrix became renowned for its exclusive limited edition designs and its concept of ‘playing with style'. The idea of distinctive pieces that could be worn in different ways to enhance an existing wardrobe had great appeal.
The Exentrix aesthetic combines sophisticated construction and design with surprising elements of glamour and fun. Internationally sourced fabrics help to create unusual textural effects. The popular Exentrix Basics Range was introduced in 2002. Made from breathable Microjersey cotton, these basic items form the building blocks of complete outfitting. New Styles and colours are added every season. They have become a staple in many wardrobes.
Elsje
In 2007, Suzanna Van Berkel launched a second label, Elsje. Inspired by both Japanese and classic design, the label caters to women looking for cutting - edge, yet highly wearable pieces that allow them to express their personal style and identity. Each collection is made up of signature pieces that can be worn back with styles from previous collections, thus creating an ever- evolving wardrobe. Apart from the Exentrix Basics Range, all designs are still produced in strictly limited quantities and styles are only rarely repeated. They are exclusively available through Exentrix.  |  |
